DVDs are mostly dead, but the idea of truly owning what you love should not be. iOwnDigital makes it possible to own the content you are paying for. In 2026 that is rarer than it should be. We do not run on subscriptions. You buy, you own, and you can download a copy of your purchase to watch anywhere, anytime. We are a direct to consumer marketplace for music, comedy and documentary video, a place to discover new work and genuinely support the artists behind it.

Please be patient with our beta phase. We are using this time to bring more content in from vendors. Everything uploaded goes on sale as soon as the payment setup is finished. The only titles that look unavailable are placeholders added temporarily while we design the site.

For Vendors, Artists, Record Labels and Management

We are actively onboarding our founding group of artists, and editing some iOwnDigital Original content coming soon. iOwnDigital is open to bands, comedians and documentary filmmakers, any creator who wants a dedicated place to upload and sell video directly to fans worldwide, whether you are fully independent or signed to a major label.

Have a look at our Okinawa Americana product to see how much care goes into it. Each release carries where and when it was recorded, descriptions, setlists, liner notes just like a vinyl record, and a place for your whole project. Building a sense of community matters to us as much as it does to you and your fans.

The deal is straightforward

By the time a DVD moves through traditional retail, with store margins, physical media and distribution, you would be lucky to receive 50% of the sale price. iOwnDigital operates entirely online. We carry the cost of the upload, the card transaction fees, site management and marketing, so a substantial share of the profit goes directly to you.

Payment split

First 9,999 sales across all your titles 50%	50 / 50
10,000 sales and above 60%	60 / 40 in the vendor's favour

Payouts

We pay out once your balance reaches ¥47,500, roughly $300 USD. You receive the funds at the end of the month after you clear the threshold, so June sales are paid at the end of July. At a net royalty of ¥2,000 a unit, from a 50/50 split of a ¥4,000 sale, you reach the threshold after 24 units.
